Matt Garstka’s signature Equilibrium ride features a piercing bell that works in aggressive music, a nice stick attack with pleasing overtones for jazz-like patterns that are common in progressive music, and a crash-ability that doesn’t interfere with the former two attributes. "We didn't rush anything and I feel very good about that," says Matt. " We came up with something that has a great spread to it. This is in full balance. It has the full range of expression that I was looking for in a ride."

Multiple zones give the Meinl Byzance Traditional Polyphonic Ride its defined stick sound, focused bell, and warm, wooly wash. An oversized raw bell offsets a traditionally finished, narrow-lathed edge and bow, for not just great performance but enhanced looks as well. Meinl's hand-hammered, Turkish B20 bronze alloy gives this ride exceptional complexity and musicality for the stage and studio. 

The 20” Pure Alloy Custom Extra Thin Hammered Crash features a custom smoked-bronze top and brilliant bottom plus a thin weight and extra-large hammering across the bow. Producing a velvety crash under the stick due to the thinner weight, this cymbal speaks easily from whisper to roar. The additional hammering works in dark tonality and warmth.

The B20 Bronze raw hammered bell and lathed bow give this splash an attractive look and a quintessential splash sound that works well regardless of where or how you play it. A fast attack with ample top end followed by a sparkling shimmer make it a wonderful all-purpose splash cymbal for any situation that calls for some quick, punchy accents.
