Takamine Now at Sims!

What started in 1959 as a small family-run guitar workshop in Japan, Takamine has grown to become one of the leading names in the world of acoustic guitars! Whether it be country legends such as Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney, or the millions of living room rock stars out there, Takamine has always been a favorite for players all over the world. With high quality craftsmanship throughout the entire lineup, innovative technologies, and a commitment to sound and design, Takamine has been and will continue to be seen on some of the largest stages around the globe.

Back in January at the 2019 NAMM Show, we spent a lot of time with the great people at Takamine, playing and learning their lineup and we were impressed! From their entry level Chinese made models to the top shelf Japanese models, we knew that we had found a winner! We've been working with Takamine throughout the craziness of the pandemic to make sure we could get inventory so that our customers could have a great selection and variety to try out, and they were able to deliver!

While we believe we have always had a great selection of acoustic guitars from some of the biggest names out there, we still felt like we were missing something but now that void is filled with Takamine! Take a look at some of these amazing models we have in our acoustic showroom and please feel free to come by and try them out yourself!
