Its bolt-on maple neck features the custom 635JM carve, developed with Mayer’s input to strike a perfect balance between a traditional feel and modern comfort. The neck is topped with your choice of either a maple or rosewood fretboard, each adorned with the iconic PRS bird inlays and featuring a comfortable 8.5" radius and 22 frets.

The 25.5" scale length gives the guitar a snappy, articulate response, and the synthetic bone nut and vintage-style tuners ensure tuning stability. A two-point steel tremolo bridge offers smooth vibrato action while maintaining excellent intonation.

Signature Pickups and Tone Versatility

The SE Silver Sky is loaded with three 635JM “S” single-coil pickups, voiced specifically for this model to replicate vintage single-coil tone with added clarity and warmth. The traditional five-way switch, master volume, and two tone controls give you access to a wide palette of sounds—from shimmering neck pickup cleans to that beloved out-of-phase “quack” in positions 2 and 4.
