The Splinter Twin Time Modulator is a fully customizable time-based sound workstation designed to push the boundaries of what a modulation and delay pedal can be. It begins by cloning your signal, reshaping that clone in time, pitch, texture, phase, and feedback, and then blending it back with your original tone to create entirely new sonic landscapes.
Rather than functioning as a traditional multi-effect, Splinter Twin allows you to move freely between the building blocks of classic time-based effects—short delays, phase offset, flanging, chorus, vibrato, doubling, slapback, and echo—without ever switching modes. From familiar sounds to wildly experimental textures, it’s a true sandbox for players who want freedom, precision, and creativity in one powerful device.
Through-zero phase cancellation, poly-chorus ensembles, resonant pitched delays, chaotic time jumps, warbling self-oscillation, and countless hybrid textures are all available at your command. Its hybrid digital/analog architecture delivers enormous flexibility while keeping every sound rooted in warm analog character.
The delay line ranges from 340ms all the way to absolute zero, letting you seamlessly move from deep echoes to shimmering comb textures to an instantaneous double perfectly aligned with your dry signal. Paired with expressive modulation, responsive feedback controls, and a musical all-analog preamp, Splinter Twin opens the door to tones no one has heard before.
Time-Based Engine
• TIME control sweeps from 0ms to 340ms, covering flanger, chorus, vibrato, doubling, slapback, and echo.
• Smooth, continuous travel across all time-based effects with no audible stepping.
Advanced Modulation
• MOD SPEED, MOD DEPTH, and MOD SHAPE provide deep control for everything from classic modulation to unpredictable experimental movement.
All-Analog Preamp
• Adjustable PREAMP adds clean headroom or harmonically rich drive.
• Accepts guitar, bass, synth, and line-level signals.
Feedback Architecture
• FEEDBACK knob ranges from subtle repeats to full self-oscillation.
• 2x FDBCK footswitch allows momentary or latching boosts to feedback for performance expression.
Dry Path Options
• Selectable all-analog dry signal or micro-delayed dry signal for thru-zero effects and unique phase interactions.
Switching & Build Quality
• True bypass with relay-based smart switching for both latching and momentary operation.
• Artwork by GOLDSUIT on a 1590BB enclosure (3.7" x 4.7").
• Top-mounted jacks for pedalboard-friendly setup.
• Requires a standard 9V center-negative power supply (200mA minimum).
• Handmade in Massachusetts, USA.
