The Gibson L-00 Standard delivers the unmistakable character of Gibson’s legendary small-body acoustic in a compact, comfortable design. Originally introduced in 1932 and closely associated with early blues and folk music, the L-00 combines a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for a focused, balanced voice with impressive projection. Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing gives the guitar excellent responsiveness and dynamic range, making it especially well suited for fingerstyle playing, blues, recording, and any player who prefers the feel of a smaller-bodied acoustic.
The mahogany neck features Gibson’s comfortable SlimTaper profile and a 24.75" scale length, paired with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius and 19 frets. A closed-slot rosewood bridge, TUSQ nut, saddle, and bridge pins, along with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, provide reliable performance and tuning stability. The hand-sprayed Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish, single-ply top and back binding, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and traditional L-00 pickguard complete the classic Gibson look.
For amplified performance, the L-00 Standard is equipped with the Gibson-exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA pickup and preamp system. Two lightweight bridge-plate sensors capture the guitar’s natural acoustic character and playing dynamics while providing strong gain-before-feedback performance. Discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls provide quick adjustments without taking away from the guitar’s traditional appearance. A Gibson hardshell case and accessory kit are included.
