Cut with sharp 30º bearing edges, the 5x14” responds with immediacy—fast, articulate, and cutting—yet still delivers a hint of darker undertones for added depth. It’s an incredibly versatile snare, equally at home in tight, funky grooves or more aggressive rock backbeats.
Finished in a glossy lacquer, this snare comes outfitted with Tilco manganese steel snare wires, 2.5mm triple flange hoops, and Gretsch’s redesigned Full Range Throw Off & Butt Plate for smooth operation and solid reliability.
