"Looking back at over a century of Ludwig Percussion, the word "Family" continues to find its way into how we define who we are as a company. It's certainly no secret that we bolster a rich history, originated by William F. Ludwig II (or "The Chief" as he has come to be known.) His dedication to the Ludwig Legacy went way beyond his name. It was dedication to everyone from the artisans at the Ludwig factory to the drummers who played his creations established the feeling of a true family.
From Damen Avenue in Chicago, to our current factory in Monroe, NC, our American-made traditions and values instilled by our founder to continue to be upheld by our Ludwig Family. Combining a process for crafting percussion instruments that has been refined over a century with today's most advanced technologies, we proudly present a line of drums made to suit the needs of every player.
Our focus is to educate, inspire and support the next generation of Ludwig drummers by continually evaluating their needs and providing access to top-quality, American-made product for every step along their musical journey. It is because of our Family that we remain "The Most Famous Name on Drums."
