The PRS Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition is one of the more interesting collaborations we've seen from PRS, and we're excited to have this special John Mayer model at Sims Music. Inspired by Mayer's personal collection of vintage Land Rover Defenders, the Defender Color Collection brings four classic automotive colors to his signature Silver Sky: Arles Blue, Willow Green, Portofino Red, and Sandglow Yellow. It's a unique combination of two of Mayer's passions, bringing a little automotive history into the world of guitars while maintaining everything players have come to love about the Silver Sky.

With only 500 guitars produced in each color and 2,000 worldwide, this is a genuinely limited release. Each guitar features a matching painted headstock, a special neck plate engraved with the finish name and "1 of 500," and an ATA molded hardshell case complete with a custom DEFENDER badge. Underneath the distinctive appearance is the familiar Silver Sky design, developed by John Mayer and PRS to capture the feel, response, and unmistakable single-coil character of the vintage guitars that inspired him. Whether you're a longtime Silver Sky fan, a John Mayer enthusiast, or simply appreciate a great limited-edition instrument, this is a pretty cool piece of PRS history. Like every new guitar at Sims Music, it receives a complete professional setup from our team before shipping, so it's ready to play when it arrives.
