The Remo Active Snare Dampening System is an adjustable internal muffling solution designed to give drummers greater control over unwanted overtones and snare drum resonance. Mounted inside the drum, the system places a dampening pad against the drumhead and allows the amount of contact to be adjusted to suit the desired sound. It’s a convenient option for tightening up an overly lively snare while keeping the top of the drumhead free from gels, tape, or other external dampening materials.
