The Gene Krupa Limited Radio King Snare Drum is a rare opportunity to own a true piece of drumming history. Widely considered the first superstar drummer, Gene Krupa helped define the role of the modern drum set and remained closely tied to Slingerland Drums throughout his legendary career. Limited to just 200 pieces worldwide, this collectible 6.5x14” snare drum captures the spirit and craftsmanship of the original Radio King drums that shaped generations of music.
Handcrafted at the Craviotto Music City Workshop, the drum features a steam-bent solid North American maple shell built using period-correct construction methods. The shell is cut with original-style 30-degree rounded bearing edges, delivering the warm, rich, and full-bodied tone that made the Radio King famous. Finished in timeless White Marine Pearl and outfitted with vintage-inspired nickel plated hardware, this drum blends iconic aesthetics with classic performance.
Additional vintage details include nickel-over-brass Stick Chopper hoops, engraved Radio King logos, and the classic 3-Point Strainer for precise snare wire adjustment. Each drum is individually numbered and includes premium collector extras that make this release even more special.
