The Byzance Foundry Reserve is a unique cymbal collection that embodies the tradition of handmade cymbals. Crafted by our skilled cymbalsmiths at our Byzance cymbal foundry in Turkey, each cymbal is a work of art, showcasing layers of tonality and nuance.

To create these complex cymbals, our cymbalsmiths spend extra time hand hammering each cymbal blank, resulting in deep craters across the surface. When combined with a fully lathed top and bottom, the rides produce a clear, dry stick-attack note over a lush bed of low undertones, while the hi-hats sizzle with warmth and clarity, and the crashes explode with a dark fury unique to the Byzance family.

The cymbals in the Byzance Foundry Reserve collection are visually striking, featuring one-of-a-kind hand-hammered marks. We intentionally kept the top surface free from large logos so that the natural beauty of the hand-hammering artform can be fully appreciated.
